Skiing in Whistler is never shit

We made it to Whistler. It’s such a lovely drive up. I never get sick of seeing snow on mountaintops. We stayed at the Westin. You can’t beat the ski-off location.

I did a couple of days of ski school to get my ski legs back. It was worth it: it really built up my confidence. After three days of ski school, the next four I was able to keep up with Chris.

We had some pretty amazing weather while we were in Whistler.

The first few days was pretty miserable. It was snowing, it was cold. It was so cold that my beard froze.

After I did a couple of days of ski school, we had a rest day. Chris got a massage; I went snow mobiling.

The next day when we hit the slopes, the weather was cold, but perfect.

It was good weather for waffles at the ski lodge.

On our last ski day, Chris convinced me to go all the way up to Whistler Peak. It was a long way up. We were literally on the top of the world.

Skiing in Whistler was the perfect way to end an amazing holiday. I can’t wait to come back.

It was a long trip back to Brisbane from Vancouver via Hong Kong. Lucky we had the first class lounge to break the journey.
